Saint Xavier’s educational efforts on behalf of approximately 5,650 undergraduate and graduate students extend beyond the doors of the University to serve the community. The University seeks diversely talented students who will engage actively in a learning community that is intergenerational, multiethnic and international. Our co-curricular services and programs enhance lifelong learning, foster personal growth and develop leadership qualities.

Sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas, Saint Xavier University continues to be recognized for its excellence. In the 2008 rankings by U.S. News and World Report, Saint Xavier is ranked in the top 25 percent of Best Colleges in the Midwest offering undergraduate and graduate degrees. We are ranked fifth among all master’s comprehensive universities in Illinois. Saint Xavier University is gaining increased recognition as a leading comprehensive Catholic university.

One half of the students from the class of 2011 are in the top 25% of their graduating classes. Approximately, 825 resident students live in University housing residence halls, including the new “green” building Arthur Rubloff Hall.
