Students can help each other learn in the Learning Center.
Whether you are excelling at chemistry or struggling with math, the Learning Center can be of service to you. Peer tutors are available in a variety of academic subjects and are equipped to work with students at various skill levels. No matter how strong you are in a subject, you can benefit from working one-on-one or in a small group to sharpen your skills. If you’re working on a paper, writing tutors are available to help you clarify your ideas, improve your organization, and strengthen documentation skills.
The peer tutoring program is the most popular program at the Learning Center. During the Fall 2006 semester, our tutors conducted over 600 individual and group tutoring sessions in a range of subjects, including writing, math, business, and chemistry.
