Services for the Disabled

Handicapped SymbolThe staff at Byrne Memorial Library seeks ways to provide independence for persons with disabilities to take full advantage of the library's offerings. The Library serves as an important research and educational resource for the Saint Xavier community and tries to develop reasonable accommodations or modifications to make its resources accessible to users with disabilities.

The following services are offered to persons with disabilities upon request. Some services may be on a delayed basis.

  • Assistance with online and physical resources, including copiers, microform readers, computers and other pieces of information technology
  • Retrieval of books and journals from stacks and shelf areas
  • Calling other libraries about the availability of books and periodicals
