The Department of Music is housed in the main campus classroom building and includes a computer laboratory, a Roland Electronic Piano laboratory, classrooms, teaching studios, rehearsal space, practice rooms and a Music Listening and Research facility.

McGuire Hall, the primary performance hall, has been recently renovated with an expanded stage, and to seat 300. University Music ensembles also utilize neighborhood facilities that offer a wide variety of acoustical and performance space for numerous off-campus performances.

Music students have the opportunity to hear upcoming and established professional performers in recital in the University's McGuire Hall through the Xavier Classics at Noon Concert Series that was established by the Department of Music in 1995.
