SXU’s 14th Annual Golf Classic raises more than $128,000 for student scholarships
Chicago (Sept. 16, 2010) Saint Xavier University’s 14th Annual Golf Classic raised more than $128,000 with all proceeds going to student scholarships last month at Silver Lake Country Club in Orland Park.
“We are delighted to see continued growth and support of the SXU Golf Classic,” said SXU Vice President for University Advancement Steven Murphy. “Our thanks go out to the many generous sponsors, students, alumni and friends who participated in this worthy event.”
The event also featured a series of raffle drawings. Prizes included: Apple iPad, Flip Video Ultra HD Digital Camcorder, Trek Mountain Bike, Flat Screen TV, TaylorMade Spider putter, Bag Boy Hybrid wheeled travel golf bag, Sun Mountain Micro pull golf cart, Chicago White Sox autographed A. J. Pierzynski bat and Carlos Quentin jersey, TaylorMade Burner Driver and a variety of golf items.
