SXU Halloween Concert to Benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation

Kid-focused hour of sing-a-longs and musical theater will be held Saturday, Oct. 23

CHICAGO (Sept. 29, 2004) -- The Saint Xavier University Music Department, in collaboration with the SXU Collegiate Chapter of Music Educators National Conference, is pleased to announce its Children’s Halloween Concert benefiting the Make-a-Wish Foundation. This special engagement will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23 in the university’s Rehearsal/Performance Space (Old Gym) on the university’s Chicago Campus, 3700 W. 103rd St. The entrance to the space is located on the north side of the Warde Academic Center. 

Under the direction of Collegiate advisor Professor Martha Morris, the SXU CCMENC members will present a fun-filled hour of musical theater and sing-a-longs, with plenty of Halloween treats provided. This musical program is being prepared especially for children under the age of 10. Children are asked to come in costume. 

All proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Tickets are $3 in advance and $5 at the door. Separate tax-deductible donations can be made. For tickets and more information, please call (773) 298-3421 or (773)298-3448.
