Saxophone Quartet concert on Dec. 8
Enjoy saxophone music at SXU
Chicago (Nov. 21, 2006) – The Saint Xavier University Saxophone Quartet will perform a concert under the direction of adjunct professor Lara Regan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 8, in the Butler Reception Room, 3700 W. 103rd St., Chicago.
The concert will feature saxophone quartet music from different genres such as classical, ragtime and jazz. Music to be performed will include Air on the G String by J.S. Bach, Andaluza by Enrique Granados, and works by Mancini, DiBlasio and Blake, among others.
Regan earned bachelor of music degrees in music education and performance from Saint Xavier University and a master of music degree in saxophone performance from Northwestern University. She teaches courses in clarinet and saxophone at Saint Xavier and is coordinator of music admissions.
