Saint Xavier University Drama Club presents "In 25 Words -- or Death"
Production scheduled for April 13 to 15
Chicago (March 28, 2007) – The Saint Xavier University Drama Club will perform Newt Mitzman and William Dalzell’s play "In 25 Words – or Death" April 13 to 15 at Saint Xavier University’s McGuire Hall, located in the Warde Academic Center at 3700 W. 103rd St., Chicago.
This mystery-comedy examines what happens when people from varying backgrounds find themselves thrown together under unusual circumstances. Contest winners who have all won an old-fashioned Thanksgiving in New England realize that the lodge where they are gathered is inhabited by a group whose interests are more sinister than enjoying a pleasant weekend. Their prize soon turns into a hilarious nightmare.
The production stars Tiffany Powell and Jon Cacciatore, and features the talents of Mary Frydrych, Sara Turk, Joanne Bilder, Shannon Daly, Jennifer Grisolano, Chris Gutuerne, Jennifer Betcher, Gary Johnson and Zachary Negrete. Most of the actors in the play are Saint Xavier students. The play is directed by Lisa Lodico, with Ashley Bullard serving as assistant director.
"We have been working hard since January to make this spring production – the last for many of our senior members – the best Drama Club production yet,” said Lodico, a Saint Xavier student. “Last semester’s production of Little Women left us with some big shoes to fill, but we’re going to give it all we’ve got.”
The play is open to the public, and tickets can be purchased at the door. Admission is $5 for the evening performances at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 13, and Saturday, April 14, and $3 for the 2 p.m. matinee Sunday, April 15.
