Tickets going fast for Madeleine K. Albright at Saint Xavier University
Tickets must be purchased in advance, no door sales; more than 800 already sold
Chicago (April 2, 2007) –Tickets are still available to see former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine K. Albright speak at Saint Xavier University in Chicago on Tuesday, April 10, for the inaugural event of the “SXU Voices and Visions Speaker Series.” Tickets must be purchased in advance. There will be no ticket sales at the door.
Former U.S. Secretary of Commerce and fellow cabinet member William M. Daley will introduce Albright at the lecture. Daley is the son of former Chicago Mayor Richard J. Daley and brother of Chicago’s current mayor, Richard M. Daley.
Prior to her lecture, Albright will conduct a special classroom exercise with Saint Xavier students based on her most recent book, “The Mighty and the Almighty: Reflections on America, God and World Affairs.”
More than 800 tickets have been sold so far for the lecture, which will be held in Saint Xavier’s Shannon Center, 3700 W. 103rd St., Chicago.
“We are extremely pleased by the enthusiastic response to the ‘SXU Voices and Visions Speaker Series,’” said Robert Tenczar, vice president for university relations. “This event and others like it will be invaluable in raising the profile of the institution and connecting more fully with the Chicago area.”
The event is co-sponsored by the Office for University Relations and the Student Activities Board. General admission tickets are $15 each and are available by visiting www.sxu.edu/voices/ or calling (866) 468-3401. Admission for Saint Xavier students is free, but they must obtain a ticket by contacting the Student Activities Board at (773) 298-3138. A limited number of $200 tickets are also available that include priority seating and admission to an exclusive post-lecture wine and cheese reception with Albright.
