The program of the Pastoral Ministry Institute is designed for students pursuing an undergraduate degree at the University, for those individuals involved in ministry who wish to deepen their theological and pastoral preparation, and for members of the community at large.
Through the Institute, Saint Xavier University expresses its mission as a Catholic University by providing educational expertise and service to meet the needs of the Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of Chicago. The Pastoral Ministry Institute provides programs for the on-going enrichment of lay and ordained ministers for the local church of this Archdiocese as well as for ministers in the neighboring dioceses.
The Institute works in conjunction with the Religious Studies Department to offer students courses in ministry, a variety of seminars and numerous non-credit workshops.
The following programs are co-sponsored with the Ministry Commission of Vicariate V and member parishes of Deaneries C, D and E, Archdiocese of Chicago. Cost of registration is covered for member parishes. Be certain to include the name of your parish on the registration form.
The following special events are free and open to the public. Please call (773) 298-3900 to indicate attendance.
