Emergencies, disasters, accidents, injuries and crimes can occur without warning at any time. Individuals, as well as organizations, need to be prepared, both physically and psychologically, to handle unexpected emergencies.

This summary of University procedures has been developed to assist you in being better prepared, and better able to respond to emergencies.

What You Can Do To Prepare

  • Keep this Emergency Procedure information in a visible location in your residence hall room, office or lab.
  • Become familiar with the quickest exit routes from your building.
  • Locate the nearest fire extinguisher and pull station (wall mounted alarm).
