Elementary and High School Summer Tutoring at Saint Xavier's Merwick Academy

CHICAGO (May 7, 2001) -- Registration for the two summer sessions of elementary and high school student tutoring at Saint Xavier University’s Merwick Academy begins May 21. Tutoring will be offered in math, reading, study skills, language arts, and science.

Classes will meet Monday through Thursday, elementary in the morning and high school in the afternoon. Session I runs June 18 – July 6 and Session II runs July 9 – July 26. The classes are $150 per subject.

The Merwick Academy provides educational tutorial programs for elementary and secondary students of public, parochial, and private schools in the Chicago area. Since its inception 40 years ago, the program allows students of different cultures, ethnic backgrounds, abilities, and sexes to interact in the learning process. The Merwick Academy works with parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators to meet the needs of the individual student.
