CHICAGO (May 24, 2001) – Give blood and save a life at Saint Xavier University. The University’s School of Nursing will sponsor a blood drive this Wednesday, May 30 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the first floor of the School of Nursing in the University’s Main Building, 3700 W. 103rd St., Chicago.
The organization of this blood drive was prompted by the death of Saint Xavier alumnus Mark Mucha. Mark was 28 when he died on March 25 of this year after a battle with liver cancer. Mark was married to Kelly Frank Mucha, a 1995 graduate of Saint Xavier, and father to 11-month old son Jacob. He was the son-in-law of Saint Xavier staff member Carole Frank and brother-in-law of Saint Xavier student Daniel Frank.
Donating blood is easy, safe, and fulfilling. 4 million Americans helped save lives last year through blood donation. Your single donation can help save three lives.
