CHICAGO (July 16, 2001)---This fall, Saint Xavier University will launch a new Master of Applied Computer Science program for adults who are already working in the fast-paced, quickly evolving Internet field and wish to obtain a Master’s degree. The two-year program will be offered during the evening specifically for those who are already engaged in high-technology fields and want to both sharpen their Internet programming skills and increase their marketability.
The program’s goal is to meet the growing technology needs of the professional in the mutable Internet arena. In response to the pressing need for more professionals in information technology fields, Saint Xavier created this new program. A degree in applied computer science provides for in-depth training that encourages personal career growth for individuals and provides highly qualified employees to the business community.
Students in this program will learn web programming, network administration, and website development. Many individuals who are currently employed in these areas are eager to advance their careers, but lack the academic credentials.
