Saint Xavier University Gearing up for Golf Classic

CHICAGO (July 18 2001) -- Mark your calendars! Friends and alumni of Saint Xavier University are invited to participate the University’s Fifth Annual Golf Classic on Monday, August 13, 2001 at Water’s Edge Golf Club, 115th St. and Harlem Avenue in Worth, IL.

Golfers will enjoy lunch, eighteen holes of golf, dinner, and prizes. Golf begins with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.

Participation in the Golf Classic is $250 per person. Hole sponsorships are also $250. A foursome with hole sponsorship is $1200. Proceeds from the Golf Classic support scholarships at Saint Xavier. Last year’s Golf Classic raised more than $36,500 in scholarship money.

Golfers of every skill level are encouraged to join us at Water’s Edge Golf Club, which provides a course that is both challenging and scenic. With canopy-grown trees lining many of the holes, lush natural grasses, protected wetlands and dense forest, Water’s Edge is one of the most beautiful courses in the Chicagoland area.
