Saint Xavier University Opens Pulaski Center

University Growth Provides Additional Classroom and Office Space

CHICAGO (August 27, 2003) – Growth at Saint Xavier University’s Chicago campus in the past several years has allowed the institution to offer new facilities including an athletic and convocation center and sophisticated residence halls. This fall, Saint Xavier introduces new instructional space in the Pulaski Center, a freestanding building the university is occupying at the corner of 103rd Street and Pulaski that will also bear the name Saint Xavier University.

Staff has been using the 6,200 square-foot space since June, and in addition faculty will host classes there for fall term, which began this week. The building was previously occupied by three storefronts, and now, following renovations, contains two standard classrooms and two technology-equipped classrooms, offering Internet and projection capabilities. Common areas will include vending and lounge seating.

The center’s second floor includes a conference room as well as the admission calling center, part of the university’s enrollment services operation. The facility is ADA accessible, and armed with a card-access security system for students, faculty and staff.
