CHICAGO (September 10, 2001) -- Marc Berghaus will exhibit “Small Essays on the Seen and Unseen” from Wednesday, September 26 through Wednesday, October 24 in the Saint Xavier University Gallery in the Warde Academic Center on the University’s Main Campus, 3700 W. 103rd St., Chicago. A lecture by the artist and an opening reception will be held on Wednesday, September 26 at 3:30 p.m.
Artist Marc Berghaus, who earned his bachelor of arts degree in East Asian History from the University of Kansas, will be showcasing his work in Chicago for the first time. Berghaus’ exhibit consists primarily of kinetic-motorized sculptures made out of various objects. One of the main pieces he will be exhibiting, “Rules and Regulations #2”, includes fifty-three brass fish and one live fish.
