Saint Xavier Film Series Presents The Tao of Steve

CHICAGO (September 26, 2001) – Saint Xavier University’s 2001-2002 Film Series will present The Tao of Steve on Friday, October 12 and Saturday, October 13 at 7 p.m. in McGuire Hall in the Warde Academic Center on the University’s Main Campus, 3700 W. 103rd St., Chicago. Admission is free to all who wish to attend.

The Tao of Steve, directed by Jennifer Goodman, is a delightful romantic comedy about an unlikely hero, Dex, played by Doanl Logue. Dex, who once was endearing and exasperating, is introduced to us ten years after graduation as he endures one of life’s great humbling experiences – the college reunion. He and his friends have now twisted the philosophies of Lao-tzu, Heidegger, and Groucho Marx into the foolproof theory of dating, “The Tao of Steve”, which provides rule by rule guidelines for how to transform ordinary Joes into charismatic Steve McQueens.

The Saint Xavier University Film Series proudly exhibits films of an artistic, foreign, and/or independent nature. This film deals with adult themes and therefore has a tendency to contain some combinations of profane language, nudity, sexual situations, violence, and address subject matter that may not be suitable for more sensitive viewers.
