CHICAGO (October 2, 2001) – Saint Xavier University honored some notable alumni during this year’s Homecoming weekend. The awards include the Distinguished Alumni Award, the Sister Dorothy Marie Peschon Award, the Faith in the Future Award, and the School of Nursing Distinguished Alumni Award.
Jeanne McGough Clark, ’71 received the Distinguished Alumni Award for her outstanding personal and professional achievement reflecting the ideals of the University. Ms. Clark recently retired from the Chicago Police Department where she most recently held the title of Deputy Superintendent. Ms. Clark was instrumental in the creation of the Chicago Police Woman’s Association which provides networking opportunities, mentoring, listening sessions, study groups, job enhancement programs, and funds to help officers in times of crisis. Ms. Clark resides in Chicago.
Jill Duba, ’97 received the Faith in the Future Award, which recognizes promising graduates from the last ten (or fewer) years. Ms. Duba is pursuing her Doctor of Philosophy Degree at Kent State University in Ohio. She is a member of the American and Ohio Counseling Associations and volunteers as a substitute teacher in a neighborhood Parish School.
