New Members Appointed to Saint Xavier's Board of Trustees

CHICAGO (October 18, 2001) – Saint Xavier University appointed two of its alumni, Patricia Morris, Ph.D. and Mary Alice Wheeler, to its Board of Trustees.

A resident of Park Ridge, IL, Trish Morris graduated from Saint Xavier in 1983 with a degree in psychology and later received her Ph.D. and M.A. in clinical psychology from DePaul University. She is a psychologist with Hoover and Associates in Orland Park, IL. From 1990 to 1995, she was a professor in the Saint Xavier’s psychology department and coordinated the development of the master’s program in counseling psychology. She and her husband Jim have are co-chairs of Saint Xavier’s President’s Club and she also occasionally volunteers with the University’s STAR Learning Academy. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and chairs its Continuing Education Committee.

Mary Alice Wheeler, a 1988 graduate of Saint Xavier, is the owner of Countryside Bank. She has served the University as a member of the President’s Club Executive Committee and the President’s Advisory Council. Ms. Wheeler lives in Hinsdale, IL and is active as a volunteer with the World Wildlife Federation and St. John of the Cross Parish in Western Springs, IL.
