Saint Xavier Film Series Presents Breathless

CHICAGO (October 24, 2001) – Saint Xavier University’s Film Series will present Breathless on Saturday, November 17 at 7pm in McGuire Hall, located in the Warde Academic Center, 3700 W. 103rd St, Chicago. Admission is free to all who wish to attend.

Breathless is a jazz-like improvisation on existential crime thrillers. This film features the now-legendary performances of Jean-Paul Belmondo as a smalltime hood living on the edge and Jean Seberg as the American girl who casually sleeps with him and just as casually betrays him. Breathless is funny and daring and just as much of a breath of fresh air today as it was on its release.

The Saint Xavier University Film Series proudly exhibits films of an artistic, foreign, and/or independent nature. This film deals with adult themes and therefore has a tendency to contain some combinations of profane language, nudity, sexual situations, violence, and address subject matter that may not be suitable for more sensitive viewers.
