Saint Xavier University Jazz Ensemble to Perform Second Concert for Fall Series

CHICAGO (October 25, 2000) -- The second performance of Saint Xavier University’s Fall Concert Series will feature the Saint Xavier University Jazz Ensemble directed by Myron McReynolds on Friday, November 17 in McGuire Hall at 7:30 p.m.

The University Jazz Ensemble will perform a variety of new works and jazz standards. Special note will be taken of the 100th anniversary of the birth of jazz legend, Louis Armstrong. The Jazz Ensemble will perform music made famous by Satchmo including a rousing new arrangement of When the Saints Go Marchin’ In.

Admission for this event will be one or more non-perishable food item for everyone. All donations will be given to a local charity.
