University Chorale and Chamber Singers to Perfrom at Saint Xavier

CHICAGO (November 9, 2001) – Saint Xavier University’s Chorale and Chamber Singers, directed by Dr. Jan Bickel, will be performing on Saturday, December 1 at 7:30 p.m. The concert will be held in McGuire Hall in the Warde Academic Center on the University’s Main Campus, 3700 W. 103rd St., Chicago.

The University Chorale and Chamber Singers will be performing traditional chorus music by Schubert, Brahms, and Mendelssohn. The chorale will divide into separate male and female ensembles and traditional four-part mixed ensemble music of Night Songs by Franz Schubert. In addition, the chamber singers will perform both Acappella and accompanied by quartets.

Admission is a suggested fee of $6 for General Admission and $5 for students and senior citizens. Proceeds will go towards music scholarships for Saint Xavier Students. For further information regarding Saint Xavier University’s Fall Concert Series, please call 773-298-3421.
