The School of Education offers programs leading to a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Arts in Education.
The Bachelor of Science in Education is awarded to candidates who successfully complete undergraduate programs of study in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education. In addition, candidates who major in selected programs of study in the College of Arts and Sciences are prepared to assume teaching responsibilities in secondary school settings.
The Master of Arts in Education is awarded to candidates who successfully complete programs of study in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Secondary Education, and Multicategorical Special Education. This degree is also awarded to candidates who complete advanced programs of study in Educational Administration and Supervision, Curriculum and Instruction, Reading, and Teaching and Leadership.
The Master of Arts in Counseling is awarded to candidates who successfully complete programs of study in School Counseling and Community Agency Counseling.
