Academic Advisement Process

The office of Advising and Educational Planning Services provides students with assistance in selecting courses, applying for admittance to teacher education programs, and completing requirements for graduation and teacher certification.

Undergraduate Students

The Director of Teacher Education assigns advisors to candidates pursuing a degree with a major in Early Childhood or Elementary Education Students.

Secondary candidates are jointly advised by a faculty member from their major field and an advisor from the School of Education.

Graduate Students

Candidates for graduate degrees are provided with the name of the academic advisor upon admission to the School of Education.

The Director of Graduate Studies is responsible for assigning academic advisors to degree candidates.

All students should consult their academic advisors before registering for courses.
