The clinical practice/student teaching experience provides candidates the opportunity to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and dispositions learned as pre-service teachers. The candidate is required to teach in a classroom while under the supervision of a cooperating teacher and university supervisor. The Handbook on Clinical Practice for Student Teachers (PDF) provides guidance and direction to prepare the candidate for the clinical practice experience. The handbook also outlines the requirements the candidate must adhere to while student teaching.
The School of Education offers several graduate programs to candidates leading to Master of Arts degrees in Education or Counseling. The School of Education graduate policies are also set out in this document.
