Call for Abstracts

The Alpha Omicron Chapter has set aside a small amount of funds to lend support to research endeavors for our members.

In attempt to establish a mechanism to distribute this award we are seeking abstracts from individuals who would like to be an integral part of this chapter by submitting an abstract of your original investigative work. If your abstract is accepted, you will present your study to nursing colleagues within the Alpha Omicron Chapter and possibly to other networking chapters. This is your opportunity to gain exposure to an audience of your peers, receive valuable feedback, participate in the efforts to promote professional development, strengthen your local chapter, and compete with your peers for Alpha Omicron investigative awards. Cash awards are granted to researchers and investigators whose work is judged to be outstanding by the reviewers.

Abstracts may be submitted by paper or e-mail.

If you submit an abstract electronically, you must also submit a signed, printed copy. The maximum allowable length of the abstract is 300 words. The abstract must be titled in capital letters. The title should clearly define the topic and contain no abbreviations. After the title, skip a line, and then type the primary author’s full name, followed by the other author’s names (initials only for first and middle names). Include the name of the institution where research was performed (city, state, country). Skip one line and type the body of the abstract. The body must contain five separate paragraphs entitled: Purpose; Methods; Results; Conclusions; and Clinical Implications. Charts or graphs may be included in your abstract. Grant support must be indicated at the end of the abstract where applicable. Failure to disclose grant support or funding will disqualify an abstract. List a presentation category. More than one category may be listed. Sign and date your abstract.
