Jersey Boys
Staff Council will be sponsoring a night at the La Salle Bank Theater to see the Tony Award-winning play "Jersey Boys". We will attend the 7:30 p.m. performance on Thursday, February 21, 2008. Tickets for this night were sold out in record time. Due to the enormous response and interest, we may schedule another night out for this play. If you were not able to purchase tickets for this first outing, please notify Betty Devine at ext. 3052 or Maureen Kaufmann at ext. 3050. If we receive enough interest, we will arrange a second outing for this play.
All University Retreat - February 23rd

Professional Development Day - April 2nd
All Staff is invited to participate with faculty in the Spring 2008 Professional Development Day. The theme will be "Reverencing Dignity: Social Justice in Academe". More information will be forthcoming.
Staff Council Elections
Staff Council plans to expand its members this year to 15 participants. This needs to be approved by the President's Cabinet. Once this is approved, there will be openings for 10 new members. Please submit any nominations through our Staff Council Suggestion Box. Elections will be held in early May. All newly elected members will be announced at the Spring General Staff Meeting on May 21st.
Spring General Staff Meeting - May 21st
Staff Council cordially invites you to the Spring General Staff Meeting on Wednesday, May 21st, at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. in the Butler Reception Room of the Warde Academic Center. Please plan on attending one of these sessions. Refreshments will be served.

Cost of the cookbooks are $8.00 each or two for $15.00. Previous proceeds has helped the Chicago Food Depository.

Holiday Card Contest
We had a wonderful response to the Holiday Card decorating contest, with more than 30 departments participating in this fun event. All departments that participated were given a raffle ticket for a chance to win a $50 gift card. The winning department was the Call Center. Congratulations!
