Senator for the 18th District of the Illinois Senate

A lifelong resident of the Beverly area, Ed, age 66, has spent his career as a teacher, coach and volunteer. Ed and wife Norine currently live in St. John Fisher Parish where they raised four sons. The Maloney's also have ten grandchildren.

Ed spent 28 years as a teacher, guidance counselor, administrator and coach at Oak Lawn High School and four years as an Area Manager and Director of Professional Development for the Chicago Park District, and as Assistant Principal at Brother Rice High School.

The 18th Senate district includes all or part of Evergreen Park, Chicago Ridge, Hometown, Worth, Palos Hills, Oak Lawn, Palos Park, Hickory Hills, Merrionette Park, Palos Heights and the Beverly, Mt. Greenwood, Morgan Park and Ashburn communities in Chicago.

In the Senate, Ed is currently serving as the Chairman of the Higher Education Committee and also serves on the Transportation, Redistricting, Labor and Appropriations committees.

Senator Maloney's legislative priorities include providing greater educational opportunities, enhancing the lives of senior citizens and protecting our communities through support of police and fire personnel.
