Mercy Volunteer Corps
A program of the Sisters of Mercy, Mercy Volunteer Corps (MVC) invites women and men to service with people who are economically poor or marginalized. Volunteers commit to compassionate service, simple lifestyle in community and spiritual growth.
Mercy Volunteers serve within the continental U.S. and Guyana, South America, with additional international sites possible. National volunteers make a one-year commitment beginning the first week of August; international volunteers make a two-year commitment.
Campus Ministry is proud to announce that two of our 2012 graduates have applied to a year of service with Mercy Volunteer Corps and have completed their week of orientation held in Philadelphia. Patricia Salgado will serve in Savannah, Ga., and Stacy Konow to St. Michael's Mission, Ariz. We are proud to know that our students are considering a year of service at Mercy ministries across the country. If you are interested in looking into the possibility for yourself, just contact Sister Carol Mucha, R.S.M., of MercyCare at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 773-298-4232
