Cougar 5K Run/Walk Training Program for Beginner Runners

The Shannon Center offers a six-week 5K training program for beginner runners for only $15!

We'll meet in the Shannon Center lobby on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. starting on Monday, August 17, 2015.

No need to sign up. Just show up and run!

We have five different groups and will find the right group for you!  We start off walking and running and increase the distance each week until you are able to run/walk the entire Cougar 5K race course. There will also be presentations from Cougar 5K sponsors once a week to give tips to beginner runners on running shoes/apparel, breathing and posture, nutrition, stretching and injury prevention.
