Turkey Shoot and Family Open Gym

What is a Turkey Shoot?
Kids (grammar school age) can compete with a guardian age 18 or older in a free throw contest to win the grand prize of a frozen turkey! Both the child and guardian shoot 10 free throws. The cost is $5 per group (cash or check). A group consist of one child and one guardian. The same team cannot compete twice. Top three winners in each age category will win a prize.
Registration opens at 5:45 p.m. in the Shannon Center lobby. Event starts at 6 p.m.
- Group 1 - 2nd Grade and under (2nd and under shoots on a lower basket)*
- Group 2 - 3rd and 4th Grade*
- Group 3 - 5th and 6th Grade
- Group 4 - 7th and 8th Grade
*A smaller basket can be used for those nine and under.
The top three winners in each category will win:
- 1st place - Frozen turkey
- 2nd place - $15 Baker's Square gift card
- 3rd place - $10 Baker's Square gift card
Registration is at the door starting at 5:45 p.m. Families can come anytime between 6 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. to compete. The winners will be announced at the 8 p.m. The winners do not need to be present! Kids receive treat bags and free tickets to the upcoming men’s and women’s basketball games. Families can also enjoy open gym activities, arts and crafts, visit from the men’s and women’s basketball team and Champ, the Cougar mascot.
