Kate is a new addition to SXU as of Fall 2004. Although a native of eastern Pennsylvania, Kate did all of her higher education in New York City. She has a B.A. in Communication Arts from Marymount Manhattan College. While still a student at Marymount, Kate was a resident assistant, orientation assistant, a member of Student Government, and a tour guide. As a graduate of Marymount, she spent a year working as an Admissions Counselor for the college. Kate went on to receive her M.A. from New York University in Student Personnel Administration. For two years, Kate worked as a Graduate Assistant in the Office of Student Activities at Pratt Institute. She also spent a summer working with the orientation program at Stony Brook University through the National Orientation Director's Association (NODA).
At SXU, Kate co-advises the Student Activities Board (SAB), oversees all of the student organizations and many other activities as needed! She also teaches an SXU Seminar class. Kate is looking forward to exploring the "second city" and loving a new city!
