State Financial Aid

Illinois Monetary Award Program (MAP) Grant: A state-funded grant program for undergraduates who are Illinois residents and demonstrate financial need. Award amounts are based on the number of credit hours in which a student enrolls each semester. Current maximum award is $4,720.

Minority Teachers of Illinois Scholarship Program: A state-funded scholarship for designated minority students enrolled at least part-time in a teacher education program or seeking initial teacher certification. Must maintain a grade-point average of 2.5. A teaching commitment is required, and, if not satisfied, the scholarship converts to a loan. $5,000 per year maximum.

Golden Apple Scholars of Illinois Program: A state-funded scholarship, administered by the Golden Apple Foundation. Students are nominated by teachers, counselors, principals, or themselves. A teaching commitment is required, and, if not satisfied, the scholarship converts to a loan. Award amounts range from $2500 - $5000, depending on academic level.
