The Office of Campus Life sponsors programs and services designed to enhance students' involvement in the SXU community, thus supporting their academic, social, and community engagement. Campus Life oversees: Student Activities & Commuter Programs, New Student Programs, Multicultural and Leadership Programs, as well as Student Media. Within each of these areas, we seek to provide resources, programs and services that enrich and support students' educational experiences, help them develop positive connections with peers, upper class mentors, staff and faculty and to become active and engaged members of the SXU community. With our help students themselves learn to create programs and services for their peers, and grow and develop as life-long learners and leaders.
Student Activities and Commuter Programs supports our commuter students, manages our student organizations, Student Activities Board and the Student Government Association, and oversees all annual programs such as Homecoming, finals breakfasts and Senior Week.
New Student Programs works with FOCUS, Parent and Transfer Student Orientation, First Day for First Years, Welcome Weeks, Transitions and the Common Reading Experience and supervises our Orientation Leaders and Transitions Peer Mentors.
Multicultural and Leadership Programming focuses on both individual and organizational leadership development through direct advisement and workshops as well as coordinating heritage month celebrations and multicultural programming for the entire SXU community.
Student Media supports The Xavierite, our student newspaper and WXAV 88.3 FM, the SXU student-run radio station.
