Call for Papers

Saint Xavier University's Women and Gender Studies Program and the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning will sponsor a symposium on January 26, 2008. Presenters will submit a 250-word abstract that addresses one of the following questions:

1. What are the gender and power issues in the classroom?
2. How do your in-class activities promote inclusion?
3. How does the organizational structure of colleges and universities privilege others?
4. How does privilege replicate itself in scholarly works (publications and presentations)?

Abstract submissions will be accepted electronically by visiting the symposium's registration page.

Deadline for submissions is November 15, 2007. Notifications will be sent by December 1, 2007. For presenters and non-presenters, there is a $25 non-refundable fee with the online registration.
