Communications Coordinator/Recruiter

Function: The Communications Coordinator provides support to the Graduate Recruitment office through continuous communication and follow-up with prospective students as well students already in the pipeline. This professional will also be responsible for researching companies, organizations, associations, etc. to find new audiences and create and schedule targeted campaigns. The Communications Coordinator will be tasked with creating content for social media, articles and presentations and will be responsible for reviewing the SXU website periodically to ensure that the admissions pages are accurate across schools.

The professional will complete sales-related and marketing administrative projects that include entering all new lead information into the CRM database, running marketing and sales reports, conducting research and providing insight into current industry trends. The Communications Coordinator will be responsible for reporting on the effectiveness of all internal communication/marketing efforts and will also track and maintain the recruitment activity calendars.

The Communications Coordinator will provide assistance in terms of logistics to on-campus recruiting events and on occasion will be asked to provide back-up support at external recruiting events when necessary.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related field, high level of energy and drive, and an entrepreneurial spirit are required. Attention to detail, ability to work in fast-paced environment and competitive industry are necessary. College admission experience, sales experience, strong business acumen, and experience working in a goal-oriented environment are strongly preferred. Excellent oral/written communication skills required. Excellent technical/computer skills required – including Microsoft Word, Excel, database systems, and Email programs such as Exact Target or Constant Contact. A mindset for marketing and promotion is very valuable. Commitment to teamwork is essential. Experience working with a diverse population of constituents is a definite plus! Description of Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30 – 4:30. Weekday evening and Weekends may be necessary to help during special recruiting events.
