Jacinda Ripley works as a freelancer and teacher in the Chicagoland and south eastern Wisconsin areas. She is on trumpet faculty at the Music Institute of Chicago and works with El Sistema-Ravinia. Ripley is acting principal trumpet in the Northshore Concert Band, and performs frequently with Chicago-area orchestras, including the Evanston Symphony Orchestra, and Lake Shore Symphony. From new music to polka, she has performed a wide variety of chamber music.
Ripley received her bachelor's degree in trumpet performance from the Eastman School of Music, and her master's degree in trumpet performance from Northwestern University. She can be heard on recent CD's by Northwestern University, Eastman School of Music, and Carthage College. Her primary trumpet teachers are Leah Schuman, James Thompson, and Robert Sullivan.
