April 25, 2016 - New members were inducted into the Pi Alpha Theta and Pi Sigma Alpha honor societies for history and political science at a ceremony in the Bishop Quarter Room. 

April 27, 2016 - Associate Professor of History Dr. Karen Benjamin was honored at the College of Arts and Sciences Award Ceremony with the 2016 Teacher-Scholar Award.

Summer 2016 - Faculty from the Department of History and Political Science will be around to meet students attending the summer FOCUS sessions

August 22, 2016 - Classes resume. Welcome!

Internship and Fellowship Opportunities

Historic Deerfield Summer Fellowship - Summer research fellowship for junior and senior undergraduates in Deerfield, Massachusetts. Focuses on material culture and New England history.

Ford Foundation Pre-Doctoral Fellowship - Three year fellowship for Ph.D. study for students who are members of a historically underrepresented group in academia. Applications are accepted each November.

National Institute of American History and Democracy - The College of William and Mary sponsors semester and year-long domestic study abroad programs in early American history that focus on the history of colonial Williamsburg, including on-site study at museums and archaeological projects.
