Secondary Education Alternative Licensure
Program Description
Candidates in this program will be prepared to teach students one of the following content areas:
- Art (grade 9-12)
- Biology (grade 9-12)
- Chemistry (grade 9-12)
- Computer science (grade 6-12)
- English/language arts ( grade 9-12)
- History (grade 9-12)
- Mathematics (grade 9-12)
- Music (grade K-12)
- Physics (grade 9-12)
- Political science (grade 9-12)
- Spanish (grade K-12)
The Secondary Education program requires that applicants have one of the following:
- a degree in art, biology, chemistry, computer science, English/language arts, history, mathematics, music, physics, political science, or Spanish.
- the equivalent of a degree - 32 credit hours in art, biology, chemistry, computer science, English/language arts, history, mathematics, music, physics, political science, or Spanish.
