Assistant Professorial Lecturer
Dr. Raymond J. Mueller, CPA, joined the faculty at Saint Xavier University in 2016, having taught at DeVry University from 1984-2016, where he was a senior professor of Accounting.
A native Chicagoan, Dr. Mueller in addition to his full-time faculty responsibilities for over 14 years has been and continues to be an instructor for the nationally recognized Becker CPA Review which helps prepare candidates to achieve this professional credential. He has taught in online and in-person formats in nearly every course encompassing the discipline of accounting including financial accounting, cost accounting, managerial accounting, taxes and auditing. Additionally he maintains an active tax and consulting practice staying current with ever-changing tax laws and their application in real world settings.
Prior to academia Dr. Mueller worked in public accounting and at the Chicago Stock Exchange. He received his B.S. in Mathematics from DePaul University, his M.S. in Accounting from DePaul, his CPA certification, and his Ph.D. from Loyola University Chicago.
