Learning Center/Writing Studio
Welcome to the Learning Center!
Located in L-110 of the Warde Academic Center, the Learning Center/Writing Studio at SXU provides a variety of resources and services aimed at assisting students on their path to graduation. The Learning Center/Writing Studio helps students develop strategies and skills they can use in their classes and their future careers. Whether a student is excited by a new subject and wants to know more, needs assistance with an assignment or paper or is having trouble mastering the course content of a subject, the Learning Center/Writing Studio is available to provide assistance, free of charge to currently enrolled SXU students.

Peer Academic Tutoring
The Learning Center/Writing Studio offers free peer academic tutoring for a variety of courses at SXU. Our tutors are subject-specific and tutoring sessions are tailored to each individual learner.
Writing Studio
The Writing Studio aims to improve the quality of writing across all disciplines at SXU by offering individualized, student-centered appointments focused on developing each writer's abilities to compose cohesive messages, and we assist with any paper, any class and any stage in the writing process
Academic Skills Development
The Learning Center/Writing Studio staff frequently works with students in one-on-one or small group sessions on developing academic skills necessary for success in college, including organization, note-taking, time management and test taking.
Supplemental Instruction
Supplemental Instruction is a nationally renowned academic support program that specifically targets challenging courses. Sessions are voluntary, confidential and free.

For writing assistance, send your paper and receive personalized feedback within 24 hours or meet virtually with a trained instructor at a set time.
