Studio Art Career Outlook


Studio Art is a specialization under the Art and Design major. This is a program that introduces individuals to contemporary practice, visual culture theory, and historical perspectives for the visual arts. Students majoring in Studio Art will develop an area of concentration that will then be the focus of their senior seminar.

Graduates with a degree in Art and Design with a specialization in Studio Art can work for museums, galleries, historical societies, community centers, auction houses, studios, advertising agencies, design firms, department stores, television, greeting card companies, libraries, hospitals, mental health facilities, nonprofit organizations, newspapers, book publishers, and print design studios.
