Badges and Certificates

Saint Xavier University rewards badges to students who have fulfilled academic and co-curricular accomplishments. Badges may be earned through academic accomplishments, such as making the Dean's List. Students may also earn leadership badges for assuming leadership positions, such as a leadership role in a Registered Student Organization.

Below is a list of all the types of Badges that are recognized and rewarded to students through Saint Xavier University.

Badges

Dean's List BadgeThe Dean's List recognizes full-time students who have completed a minimum of 15 credit hours at SXU and have maintained a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.75 out of 4.0. Students must be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credit hours during the given semester and have earned a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.75.

Graduation with Honors BadgeThe Dean's List recognizes full-time students who have completed a minimum of 15 credit hours at SXU and have maintained a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.75 out of 4.0. Students must be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credit hours during the given semester and have earned a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.75.

Chicago Network Future Leaders BadgeThe Chicago Network Future Leaders Program supports the Network's goal of inspiring the next generation of women leaders by providing outstanding sophomore and junior female college students. Twelve female students are selected for a special job shadow/site visit program sponsored by the Chicago Network and the Center for SUCCESS.

Synergy BadgeSynergy is the university-wide student leadership conference that is held each spring. Synergy participants are encouraged to share ideas and develop plans with peer students leaders.

Information Fluency BadgeThis badge recognizes student familiarity with discovery, capture, citations, and plagiarism. Students receive this badge by successfully completing various library quizzes embedded within the PHIL 140/150 courses.
