High school students who aspire to pursue the health care industry will be introduced to nursing practice and its four major concepts: professional identity, clinical practice, patient and health systems, all while being immersed into the higher educational experience at Saint Xavier University.
High school students will receive the opportunity to:
- Learn basic skills such as observing and measuring vital signs.
- Meet current SXU nursing students who can provide guidance on taking nursing classes at SXU.
- Learn from faculty who are thoroughly experienced in the health care industry.
- Tour SXU's innovative simulation labs.
Classes will be held every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from July 13-23, 2020.

This one credit hour course, NURS 102: Profession Nurse Roles and Concepts, is reserved for high school students who are at least junior-level status.
The cost of attending the camp is $100 per student.

Cancellations made 14 days prior to the camp start date will receive a refund less a 25% administrative fee. No refunds will be made for cancellations received less than 14 days prior to the camp start date. In the event the camp is canceled by SXU, a full refund will be provided.
