Intro to Speech-Language Pathology Course

In response to coronavirus (COVID-19), our Intro to Speech-Language Pathology Course is postponed until Fall to keep everyone safe and healthy. Please check back for future dates.

High school students can receive an introduction into the ever-growing profession of speech-language pathology in a course at Saint Xavier University. This course provides an introduction to human communication and its disorders and how they can be treated by speech-language pathologists. Students will visit Saint Xavier's Ludden Speech and Language Clinic, which is available to the public as a service, and a simulation lab, as well as explore tools that are used for treatments.

This one credit hour course, CSDI 101: Introduction to the Speech-Language Pathology Profession, is reserved for high school students who are at least junior-level students.
