SXU Summer Camps and Courses
Saint Xavier University is proud to offer summer camp and course experiences to youth in the community that inspires creativity, expands their knowledge and physical skills, and motivates them to lead in their schools as well as their communities. Our summer camps and courses incorporate practical lessons with hands-on learning led by SXU professors and staff. Plus, each camp is held on our beautiful University campus on the South Side of Chicago, exposing youth to the college environment and preparing them for their future.

The Saint Xavier University Tom O'Malley Boys Basketball Camp is scheduled for Monday through Thursday, June 24-27, 2019 and is open to students ages 10-16. The camp will be hosted by SXU men's basketball coach Tom O'Malley, along with the SXU men's basketball coaching staff and current players.

Saint Xavier University is pleased to announce its SXU-Southside Summer Jazz Camp returning this summer, running Monday through Friday, July 15 through 19, 2019. The camp is open to students in grades 6-12 and provides students with the opportunity to learn from and work with Saint Xavier's accomplished group of jazz educators who will help them gain their confidence and improve on their abilities as section players, improvisers and sight-readers.

Saint Xavier University is hosting Erin's Mollohan's Girls Softball All-Skills Camp this summer on Friday, August 2, 2019. The one-day camp is open to students ages 9-18 and will be led by Saint Xavier softball head coach Erin Mollohan, along with the rest of the SXU coaching staff and current SXU softball players, who will work with students to improve their game.

The Saint Xavier University Student Media Summer Camp will be running Monday through Friday, June 24 to 28, 2019, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. The camp is open to incoming high school freshmen through graduating seniors. This year's camp will be focused on radio broadcasting. Saint Xavier University is hosting Bob Heersema's SXU Volleyball Camp on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 9 and 10, 2019. The two-day camp is open to boys and girls from fourth to 12th grade and will be ran by Saint Xavier women's volleyball head coach Bob Heersema who will use passing, serving and setting drills to improve campers' skills.

Saint Xavier University is excited to invite boys and girls going into first through eighth grade for its inaugural Youth Lacrosse Summer Camp from Monday through Wednesday, June 24-26, 2019. The three-day camp will be led by the SXU lacrosse head coach Tom Haggerty. The camp is open to all levels of experience.

Dual Credit Summer Courses
High school students who aspire to pursue the health care industry will be introduced to nursing practice while earning college credit in this summer dual credit course held from Monday through Thursday, July 8-18, 2019. Learn from real-world faculty and tour SXU's innovative simulation labs.

High school students can receive an introduction into the ever-growing profession of speech-language pathology while earning college credit in this summer dual credit course held from Monday through Wednesday, July 8-17, 2019. Students will visit Saint Xavier's Ludden Speech and Language Clinic, which is available to the public as a service, and a simulation lab, as well as explore tools that are used for treatments.

Saint Xavier University is offering a Summer Logic Dual Credit Course to introduce high school students to the study of reasoning, while earning college credit. Students will learn how to identify arguments and assess whether an argument is a good or bad argument through lecture by our faculty and collaborative group work.
Due to low enrollment our Summer Logic Dual Credit Course has been canceled this summer.
