Winter Term
Undergraduate students now have the opportunity to take a class during the winter
to continue on the path to completing their studies with Winter Term. A limited number
of required and elective undergraduate courses will be available, so register early
to ensure you get the classes you need!

Current and Admitted Students
View Course Offerings
Log in to the mySXU portal to see a list of courses with specific dates and times.
- Go to "Registration" and then "Search Course Catalog" on the Self-Service menu.
- Select the "Winter 2023" term and submit your search.
Register for Classes
Admitted students do not need their advisor's approval to register for Winter Term but should check with their advisor regarding appropriate course options.

Winter Term is a new opportunity at SXU to help undergraduate students take the courses they need to catch up on or get ahead in their education. Winter Term is composed of required courses students need to complete their education and is offered as accelerated coursework during the winter season. It's an opportunity to be closer to graduation!
Winter Term classes will run from December 12, 2022, through January 7, 2023. No classes will be held on the following holiday observances:
- Christmas Eve (observed) - Friday, December 23, 2022
- Christmas Day (observed) - Monday, December 26, 2022
- Staff Appreciation Day - Friday, December 30, 2022
- New Year's Day (observed) - Monday, January 2, 2023
The undergraduate tuition rate is $525 per credit hour.
Classes will be held in online.
There will be a $15 academic fee for the Winter Term, in addition to any course fees associated with your classes.
Questions about financial aid can be directed to finaidFREESXU or by calling the Office of Financial Aid at 773-298-3070 to address on a case-by-case basis.
Unfortunately, Title IV funds cannot be used toward Winter Term courses.
You can get a full refund within three calendar days of the class start date.
Failure to attend a class will not result in a refund. It is the student's responsibility to take the necessary action to withdraw from class.
No, residence halls and the SXU Diner will not be open throughout the winter to Winter Term students.
