Estimated Cost of Attendance
Cost of Attendance (COA) is an estimate of the total amount of expected costs for the school year. It is determined annually, using the rules established by law, and estimated using your program of study, enrollment and housing plans.
The COA includes tuition and fees; on-campus room and board (or a housing and food allowance for commuter students); and allowances for books, supplies, transportation, loan fees and miscellaneous expenses. A student's total financial aid assistance from all sources is limited to their COA.
SXU's 2018-2019 cost of attendance components, separated by living arrangement, are listed below:
|Living with Parents||Off-Campus Commuter||On-Campus Resident|
|Tuition and Fees||$33,880||$33,880||$33,880|
|Books and Supplies||$40/enrolled credit hour||$40/enrolled credit hour||$40/enrolled credit hour|
|Room and Board||$2,690||$7,430||$11,340|
Please note: The cost of attendance components listed above are based on undergraduate, full-time enrollment (12 to 18 credit hours per semester). The data is estimated based on averages; actual costs may vary. A breakdown of 2018-2019 tuition, fees and room and board is available for review.
