Student Success Academy
The Student Success Academy, formerly known as Academic Advantage, is an academic support program designed for a select group of incoming freshmen. The three-week long seminar helps first-year students develop the necessary skills and academic confidence to handle advanced learning in college. Throughout the program, Saint Xavier Professors will cover the necessary critical reading, foundational math, study skills, and writing components to prepare students for their first-year. Then, at the end of the seminar, students will complete additional assessments and meet with an advisor to review course placement.
Most importantly, students will be provided with small-group learning communities that offer them one-on-one academic attention, and a social, support network of peers as they enter SXU.
